Charcoal is a new color scheme for Kaleidoscope that I've created.
Why is it called Charcoal?
It's called Charcoal for two reasons. First, because it reminded me of charcoal before and after it has been burned. Secondly, because I combined various versions of Eclipse and various versions of Aaron into one professional Color Scheme. I really like the design and I hope you do too.
What have I done to make Charcoal?
I've combined and edited some icons from four other Color Schemes to create this work of art. I've changed the scroll bar cursor, the buttons, the highlight color, and many other things.
How do I install Charcoal?
Simply drag this into the Kaleidoscope Color Schemes folder, which is located within your extensions folder, which is in your System Folder.
Why I did I make Charcoal?
I made Charcoal for one main reason. When Greg Landweber made Kaleidoscope, I loved both the Aaron Color Scheme and the Eclipse Color Scheme. I loved them both, but unfortunately I couldn't have both of them. So I decided to make Charcoal. After you use Charcoal, you'll never want to use Aaron again. You may wish to use Eclipse again, but not Aaron. Charcoal adds color to Aaron, making it more definitive and interesting.
Do I need to pay anything for this Color Scheme?
No. Charcoal is freeware. If you love this setting as much as I do and want to pay money for it, send money to your local hospital. They can use it better than I can.
What if I want to make my own Color Scheme?
If anybody wants help in understanding how to make their own Color Scheme, just email me. I can tell you a few things. In the future, I plan on writing a document which explains a few things, but right now I don't have the time. January 23rd is my last day of 1st Semester. Once I get past this date, my schedule drastically opens up. That's when I plan on pumping out my other planned Color Schemes and the How To document.

Hats off to Adam, the creator of Kaleidscope for Laymen v1.1. Along with the included template, KFL is what allowed me to make the changes in Charcoal. I compliment this man for what he did.
What's in the future?
I plan on making a number of Color Schemes for Kaleidoscope in the future. My next plan is to make Ciras v1.0. This should hopefully be out by the end of the year, maybe a little earlier, or maybe a little later. I have no idea.

-Fixed problem which caused some of the scroll bars not to appear.
-Fixed problem which caused the 3D menu separators not to be 3D.
-Edited window and scrolling buttons to make them more 3D and professional. (Big improvement)
-Added the ability to let the user to select any Accent Color. In version 1.0, the user could only use the Lavender setting. The scroll bar stays the same, regardless of what Accent Color is selected.
-Changed the menu bar highlight color. (Slightly)

-Changed both the pushed and unpushed buttons that are at the top of a window. They now match each other a great deal more. In previous versions it was a distinct difference.
-Changed the color of the window lines. (I really like this)
-Changed the colors of the resize stripes.
-Changed the color of empty scroll bars. They are now somewhat 3D. In all earlier versions they were flat and one color.
-Changed the seperators in both menus and the finder. (Still 3D)
